For more than thirty years, I have served as a pacesetter and early adopter of innovative practice. I understand the importance of transforming educational institutions to meet the challenges facing the educational system.
I have a solid academic and financial background with experience in academic and information technology, accreditation, assessment, data analytics, strategic planning, policy formation, program development, curriculum and instructional design, and online delivery. As an entrepreneur, I understand the importance of implementing out-of-the-box solutions, thinking critically, and transforming organizations.
I've held leadership roles at four- and two-year institutions. I have served as a vice president for academic affairs, interim associate provost, accreditation liaison officer, department chair, and as a tenured professor in educational technology.
As an educational consultant, I've worked with colleges, school systems, and non-profit organizations. During the pandemic, I worked with faculty, teachers, parents, and students to support the transition to online learning. As colleges and school districts made decisions about the academic years, I worked with institutions to enhance critical conversations and support decisions. I am data-driven and understand the importance of implementing research-based best practices to support highly-effective learning communities that directly impact student achievement.
My past accomplishments confirm that I can work candidly and respectfully with administrators, faculty, staff, and students alike. I place great emphasis on collaboration and inclusion and value partnering with internal and external constituents to reach desired goals. My history of focusing on open communication, teamwork, and accountability supports the systemic change needed to meet the disruption from the pandemic.
I have an active research agenda, authored multiple publications, and presented at conferences across the country and internationally. I participated in a faculty exchange program with National Taichung University in Taichung, Taiwan. I have served on several boards and committees of national organizations.
I earned my Ed.D. in instructional technology and distance education from Nova Southeastern University, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, my M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction, and B.S.Ed. in education from Cleveland State University, Cleveland, Ohio.
